Generations of Joy: Grandparents’ Day in the Toddler Community
The Toddlers’ foyer of Vivek High School recently came alive with joy and beaming smiles as we celebrated a heartwarming Grandparents’ Day, honouring the irreplaceable bond between our littlest learners and their grandparents. The morning commenced with a heartfelt welcome from our class educators, who reflected on the truly "Grand" role grandparents play in early childhood. They shared meaningful ideas on how families can use their time together effectively, turning simple, everyday moments into lifelong, cherished memories.
Following the opening thoughts, the rooms filled with laughter as the morning transitioned into a day full of lively activities designed for grandparents and toddlers to enjoy side by side. They bonded over playful musical games and enthusiastic dancing, proving that joy knows no age limit. Afterward, doting grandparents and their little ones teamed up for a creative crafting session to decorate personalised photo frames. To capture the magical moments, families visited our themed photo booth to click memorable portraits to place into their newly decorated frames. A major highlight of the celebration was the charming cake-cutting ceremony hosted by Ms. Meenu Sahi, Head of the Junior Wing. Ms. Sahi shared warm interactions with the grandparents over delicious snacks and refreshments. She expressed deep appreciation for the love, warmth and wisdom they bring to our school community. This wonderful event allowed families to mingle, relax, connect and share stories with our educators. It was a golden day overflowing with love and gratitude - a beautiful milestone that will be fondly remembered by our toddlers and grandparents alike.
